BIOGRAPHY

Photography is one of those things that always caught my attention. Like many of us, I see a picture and it makes me want to do that, go there, see, touch and experience what I see in that image. Other times a photograph can open our minds to a world we never knew. I can remember as a kid, flipping through the pages of a National Geographic Magazine, rarely reading more than the caption next to each picture. I was blown away by the rest of the world and just how different its cities, people and landscapes were from the tiny corner of the world that I knew.

Many years later I still had the bug for photography but now I had a job, a few bucks and I wanted something better than the plastic jobby from the grocery store. I mentioned this to my mom and grandma because they were the first people in my memory to use a real SLR camera. Well, Grandma to the rescue! Having recently purchased a new camera, she offered me her old Canon AE-1 camera kit. I couldn't have asked for a better starter SLR than the AE-1.

I have taken photography seriously for around 10 years now . I photograph the things that catch my attention, the things I want to remember and share. I am fortunate to have traveled to a handful of great places in this world. When I’m traveling I tend to revert to that little kid holding the National Geographic Magazine, only now I’m holding the camera capturing the images that opened my mind so many years ago.
